This special blog is a collaboration with fellow Chicago food blog Skyline Sweets, who specialize in dessert foods in the Chicagoland area. For the right balance of food and dessert, Public House, located in downtown Chicago, is a top tier option. Make sure to go read their blog for info about the milkshakes!
As a high-end sports bar, you definitely pay a decent price for not only, the food, but the atmosphere as well. The always-crowded seating makes for an authentic experience for this American-style experience.
In addition to the range of alcoholic drinks, the main menu prides itself in classic burgers and grilled cheeses, along with my personal favorite – Mac N Cheese. This meal comes with an assortment of toppings available at your choosing, like chorizo or smoked bacon (my picks, personally).
As for alternate meals, there’s a sizable variety of soups, salads, tacos, flatbreads, and some more indulgent daily specials.
While you can certainly run up a tab here – some of the soups reach up to $18 – there’s fewer places in the downtown area better for a tried and true meal while watching the sports event of the day.
